Exercise benefits not only physical health, but mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It is the single best remedy for improving mood, memory, and learning according to a recent Harvard Medical School study. The eight-session Fitness curriculum covers the benefits of exercise and guides participants as they develop a personal program of regular and satisfying physical activity. The course can be taught as a community health seminar, as part of an evangelism project, during a health expo, in small groups, and in many other venues. The course creates friendships with members of the community as an opening for addressing spiritual health at a later time.
After completing this course, you will earn 0.8 CEU and a certificate of completion in your Adventist Learning Community e-portfolio.
You will learn the benefits of exercise and develop your own personal fitness program of consistent exercise. This course is not a portion of a health care practitioner license. It does not give you the right to diagnose, prescribe, or oversee medical treatment of any kind. If you or someone you know is experiencing a chronic medical condition, please contact a family physician. If you or someone you know is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or activate your local emergency response system.
Quiz on section 7 was terrible. I think question 4 needs rewording. It doesn't match the lecture and I tried every combination of answers possible before finally getting an answer which allowed me to complete the class after hours of view.
