Course Summary
Teaching over video conferencing requires a whole new set of teaching methodologies. No longer can you go and stand next to the distracted student. This course will give you three methods to keep your students more engaged and learning while they are at home.
What do I need to know?
This course assumes that the learner already knows the basics of how to use Zoom or similar video conferencing services.
After completing this training course, you will earn 0.1 CEUs and a certificate of completion in your Adventist Learning Community e-portfolio.
What will I learn in this course?
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- make use of students finding objects in their homes to illustrate class content.
- develop quick group work with breakout rooms.
- discuss with students what they care about.

Desmond Suarez II has been teaching Bible, History, and Computer classes from campus to campus via video conferencing at Richmond Academy since 2012.
