TLT Area Coordinator Operations

Course Summary

The purpose of this self-study course is to equip Pathfinder Area Coordinators with the fundamental aspects of Teen Leadership Training (TLT) ministry in their area/district. This course is divided into four learning modules with learning activities and a quiz for each module.

What do I need to know?

You need to have a copy of the Teen Leadership Training Director’s Guide (AdventSource, 2016). This is the source material for this course. References will be made to specific content within its pages. Following the successful completion of this course you will receive a completion certificate. If you are an invested Master Guide and want to work toward an Adventist Youth Ministry Training (AYMT) Certification then you will need to complete the required field work outlined below.

What Will I Learn In This Course?

By the end of this course you will be able to: 1. Develop your Area TLT Council to effectively facilitate TLT training for your conference and clubs. 2. Implement area-wide Basic Staff Training and Master Guide training for your TLTs and staff. 3. Facilitate TLT department evaluations that reward TLTs and Mentors in their leadership progress. 4. Help your TLTs develop specialized leadership skills in their areas of interest.

Tracy Wood

Tracy Wood serves as Director for Youth & Young Adult Ministries for the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. His primary responsibilities are in the area of Young Adult Ministries, Public Campus Ministries, and Teen Leadership Training. Pastor Tracy has been instrumental, along with Pathfinder leaders from around the North American Division, in the development of the TLT Academic Credit Option.
