The Geologic Column - A Story in the Rocks (1 CEU)

Course Summary

Using the metaphor of a story, this course will introduce learners to the geologic column and the fossil record, which tell an important story about our past and have crucial implications for our future. Topics include the formation, discovery, and fossil content of the layers; relative age and radiometric dating; the geologic column and the flood; how to handle apparent conflicts between scientific data and Scripture; unanswered questions and the role of faith; the significance of the geologic column to fundamental Christian beliefs.

What do I need to know?

This course contains 10 modules which should take an average of about one hour each to complete. Modules are divided into smaller segments, some of which can be completed in as little as 10 minutes. To receive 1 Continuing Education unit (CEU), learners should view all content and pass the associated quizzes.
